5 Spots to Hike with your Family in Bridgewater

As of the time of this writing all town parks are open but with the fast changing situation some parks might be closed with little notice. 
As of noon on March 24, 2020 all Wildlands Trust Properties and The Trustees of Reservations maybe be closed until further notice.

Great River Preserve - Auburn Street Bridgewater, MA

Difficulty: Easy * Stroller Friendly: Ruggard Stroller * Restrooms: No * Parking: small dirt lot/roadside parking

My family love to explore the beautiful Great River Preserve. It a great easy walk with lots to see along the Taunton River. Stiles + Hart Parkland - Board Street Bridgewater, MA 

Difficulty: TBD * Stroller Friendly: TBD * Restrooms: No * Parking: There is no dedicated parking area. With permission from management you can park at the shopping center. 

According to the Nunckatesst Greenway website from 1820-1875 this was the site of an agricultural fairground with a grand exhibition hall. During the early 1900s it was the site of the Stiles & Hart Brick Company. Today you can still find mounds of defective bricks. This Macaroni Family has not visited this parkland yet but it is on our list. Camp Titicut Reservation Trail - Beach Street Bridgewater, MA

Off of Beach Street in Bridgewater you will find Camp Titicut Reservation Trail. It is a 1.4 mile out and back trail that runs along the Taunton River. Carver Pond - Summer Street Bridgewater, MA

A hidden gem off of Summer street is Carver Pond. With about 1.7 miles of trails along the beautiful Carver pond. Stanley Iron Works Park - High Street Bridgewater, Ma

Difficulty: Easy * Stroller Friendly: Ruggard Stoller * Restrooms: No * Parking: small lot near Highway Department 

This site is rich with history. Established in 1691 Brigdewater Iron Works at Stanley was the first to produce iron int the American Colonies. You can find out more about the history of this peaceful oasis HERE. My family can't wait for the next sunny day to enjoy a picnic along a babbling brook.
