A Little Princess Review

My three daughters and I had the opportunity to visit the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton to witness the classic story "A Little Princess" come to life last weekend. The play was presented by Artists from Suburbia, a theatrical company that creates affordable shows starring both professional and amateur artists. Co-Founder, Andrew Child, a local South Shore resident directed the performance. We were so excited to go, my 11-year-old Jenna Claire loved this book and couldn’t wait to see it on stage!

The Fuller Craft Museum was the perfect setting for the show. We sat in the outdoor garden for the hour and thirty minute performance. The passionate acting kept all three of my daughters entertained and had me absolutely entranced! It was beautiful. The music, the singing, the movements and the story were simply breath taking. I could have watched it over and over again. After the show was over the actresses greeted the audience and thanked us for coming. This added personal touch to the show gave my daughters a chance to ask questions and get to know the cast, it was something really unique to any other show they have attended and something they will remember for years to come.

The music was beautiful, and one of my favorite parts was watching the music director.  She was very inspiring and I could tell from watching her that she was passionate about what she was doing. The Artists from Suburbia are very talented people with an obviously very strong passion for theater arts.

Their final performance of the summer will be at the Ames Free Library in Easton, they will be performing Les Nuls in the garden. This show is free to the public so if you’d like to see Artists from Suburbia perform, I highly recommend this attending this performance. You can get the details HERE!
